During April and May, we’ll be collecting non-perishable food items for the local food pantry. Please keep your eyes out for any sales at your favorite supermarket; special items of need are hamburger helper and cereals. Our goal is to pass the 250 items we collected for our November/December food drive so clean out those pantries and help your neighbors!
World Day of Prayer has been rescheduled due to our snowstorm a couple weeks ago and will happen at some point in the future. Please disregard my previous notice that it would happen on the 9th. – Pastor Patrick Slessor
Each Sunday morning for the last six weeks our students and teachers have been gathering together at 9:15 am to learn songs and explore the “Parables of Jesus”. Talking together and learning the meaning of the parables and how to live by what they have learned helps our young people as they grow as Christians.
The following is a video of our students performing a play using the props they made and sharing what they have learned with the congregation.
Remember to show up for the our monthly movie night a little early for the spaghetti dinner. If you are only planning on seeing the movie, you should come at around 6:30-6:45, if you want the dinner and a movie you should come at around 6:00.
If you are planning to attend, please RSVP by leaving a message at the church with how many people are attending (this is so we know how much food to buy and how long we’ll need to be cooking it for). Both the dinner and the movie are completely free and we hope to see you there!

The Sunday School kids put on an excellent program based on the life of Moses. A lot hard work and energy went into constructing a set and preparing kids for their speaking parts. Hats off to all who put this together.

We had a great day at the Barnyard Blooms Corn Maze/Pumpkin Patch in Grandview, IA. Not only was the maze a hit but the kids enjoyed launching apples and full ears of corn. We would to thank our gracious hosts and look forward to a repeat trip in the future. Check out the photo gallery.
After many months of planning (aka procrastinating) the site is finally live! Right now the site is really bare but hopefully in the coming months you’ll find increasing content.
